Our Classes

In classes, you will work in a group environment focused on your dog’s needs.

Beginning Social Manners and Social Manners Continued

Beginning Social Manners Class

This class provides the basic foundation for a well-behaved dog.  Start to build a relationship of trust and respect while working on sit, down, come when called, not jumping, leash walking skills.

Social Manners Continued Class

This class lays the foundation for Canine Good Citizen and Therapy certification.  You and your dog will work on advanced leash skills, stay, leave it, and go-to-place.

 

AKC Canine Good Citizen

This class is the 1st step in the Canine Good Citizen title series and lasts 4 weeks.  You and your dog will take the AKC Canine Good Citizen test on the last night of class.  Test fee is included in the total cost for the class.

AKC Urban Canine

This class is the 2nd step in the Canine Good Citizen title series.  Take your dog out on the town and challenge them to practice good behavior despite distractions and strange new environments.  The 4-week class is typically offered in the spring/early summer.  They are held off-site, usually at nearby parks or downtown Battle Creek.  You and your dog will take the AKC Urban Canine test on the last night of class.  Test fee is included in the total cost for the class.

AKC Community Canine

This class is the 3rd step in the Canine Good Citizen title series.  Teach your dog that good behavior is also required when they are out with you in public places, such as restaurants, etc. The 4-week class is typically offered in the spring/early summer.  They are held off-site, usually at nearby parks or downtown Battle Creek.  You and your dog will take the AKC Community Canine test on the last night of class.  Test fee is included in the total cost for the class.

Policies

  1. All classes must be paid in full at the time of registration.
  2. Sorry, but we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges, no exceptions.
  3. If you have a reactive dog, please discuss your dog’s behavior with one of our trainers prior to class.
  4. If your dog acts aggressive, you will have one warning. On the second occurrence, you will be excused from class without a refund. Dogs with known behavioral issues should not take these classes; contact us for alternative options.
  5. Children under 12 years of age are not allowed to handle dogs during class. Children aged 12 and older may be able to handle dogs at the discretion of the trainer.
